The Art League of Long Island is thinking big with its second presentation of “The BIG Picture”, a juried exhibition of large format artworks on view in the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery March 7 through April 24.
The gallery space at the Art League is unique in that it can accommodate large works, with this exhibit providing artists from the Long Island region the opportunity to show their artwork through a competitive application process. Exhibition juror Charles A. Riley II, Ph.D. has selected 33 works from among the 255 applications submitted. The final selections comprise paintings, mixed media works, collage, woodcut printmaking, and fiber art ranging in size from 3 feet to 8 ½ feet.
Dr. Riley will host a gallery talk on Thursday, April 2 at 7:00pm, where he will discuss his selections.
The gallery exhibits and events are free and open to the public.
