The Art League of Long Island’s Art in the Park Fine Art & Craft Fair returns to the scenic Heckscher Park in Huntington on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. Now in its 52nd year, this juried fair attracts thousands of discerning art lovers looking to purchase unique, one-of-a-kind art and craft to display in their homes or to wear as fashion statements.
More than 85 artists and craftspeople will show and sell original works of art and handmade crafts in a variety of mediums: paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, glasswork, photography, fiber art, wearable art and more. Prizes will be awarded to exhibitors who demonstrate superior artistry and craftsmanship.
The event also features live art demonstrations by Art League instructors in the main tent, family-friendly hands-on activities, and live music. A raffle will run throughout the weekend, winner to be announced the following week. Proceeds will benefit the Art League of Long Island, a not-for-profit visual arts organization serving the community since 1955. This year’s Art in the Park event is supported by the generosity of the following sponsors: New York Life Long Island, Pioneer Asphalt Paving, Meadowbrook Dentistry, and Universal Touch Universal Massage by Andrea M. Gordon (L.M.T. and fine art photographer).
This rain or shine event will be open to the public 10am and close at 5pm both days. Admission is free for the entire family. For more information call (631) 462-5400 x222 or visit www.artleagueli.org
