Students of all ages welcome.
Join us for our outdoor, socially distanced Outdoor STEM Classes. The students will meet the instructor by the river directly behind our building. The instructor will be wearing a Long Island Science Center lab coat. This class is weather dependent. If we are unable to run the class due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for the same time the following Monday.
$12.00 per participating students, free for members!
Masks are required for all attendees.
We will experiment with crime-solving techniques and try activities that will test your keen detective skills to help us solve the mystery of the disappearing duck! Test your powers of observation, try your hand at handwriting analysis, see how memory can affect the investigation, and more!
Students will have an opportunity to learn about what type of energy is needed for this fun flying object!. Students will decorate and launch their creations.
Discover the ecosystem of the Peconic River. Learn about the plants and animals that live there and how they rely on each other for survival.
How do some animals communicate and survive? Join us as we experiment with biosonar. Learn about bats and make a bat project just in time for Halloween!
